We are offering a variety of music therapy informed services this summer including:
Summer Camps, Adaptive Ensembles (formerly called Adaptive Rock Band), and other pop-up events!
All services are led by our board certified music therapists.
All services plan to be held in person in Columbia, Missouri.
Elementary Creative ARts Camp (Ages 6-12)
June 17-21, 2024

This camp is for children who are looking to improve their social, communication, and gross motor skills in a fun group using the music they love. They will have an opportunity to move, sing, play instruments, and explore sensory tools. Eligible for BCFR Funding!
EArly Childhood Creative Arts Camp (Ages 2-6)
June 10th -14th, 2024 (9am-11am)
This camp is for children who are looking to improve their social, communication, and gross motor skills in a fun group using the music they love. They will have an opportunity to move, sing, play instruments, and explore sensory tools. We will spend some time outside in nature and have arts and crafts time each day. Parents/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to join!
Eligible for BCFR Funding!
Songwriting Camp (Ages 12-18)
June 24-28, 2024
9a-12p
This camp will help tweens and teens write and record an original song as a class that they will get to take home. Does your child show an interest in creating music or writing songs? This is the camp for them! Therapeutic focus will be on communication, group work skills, attention, and completion of tasks. Everyone will have opportunities to explore a wide variety of instruments.
Eligible for BCFR Funding!
“Together In music” Camp (Ages 12-18)
August 5th-9th, 2024
This week includes 5 days of self-expression, music, and connection for tweens and teens who are feeling overhwelmed by big emotions and struggles in their lives. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about songwriting, explore instruments, and connect with others through music and art experiences.
This camp is ineligible for BCFR funding.
Adaptive Music Ensembles (Ages 6-21)
Dates TBD for 2024
These groups (referred to in past years as Adaptive Rock Band) are designed for individuals with a wide variety of developmental disabilities. This group is focused on creating a musical product for a showcase. Ensemble members work together to learn music together all while working on non-musical skills. The therapeutic focus of each series is to develop relationships with peers, build and practice social skills, and learn functional music skills. Each ensemble will have a showcase and a product (video, recording, album art) to take home. No prior music education or training is required. Eligible for BCFR Funding!
